In this chapter, Dickon is saved at the last minute by the Fairy Queen, who has sacrificed her own immortality to return him back to life. Later on, he learns from Samarra that Nell is not just part Fey, but is actually the daughter of the Fairy Queen herself - information that the Fairy Queen, still preoccupied with finding the proper interpretation of her visions, receives as a big surprise. All the while, Dickon's romance with his sister intensifies, leading to repeated oral and even anal sex in their bedroom late at night.
